The Product Manager translates high level business needs into Features, to be implemented by hardware and firmware / software teams. The Product Manager is responsible for driving product strategy, for assigned product(s), which are normally part of a multi – product Solutions. The role therefore requires a strategic mindset as well as collaboration skills.

This specific role will focus on our Controller line of products. The role will become the Product Manager for a few go to market products, within the controller line.

What you will be doing

  • Understand customer needs (communicated through product marketing and solution management)
  • Develop and communicate product vision and strategy
  • Break down Epics and Capabilities to Features and Enabler Features, with the support of Architects
  • Work closely with Architects and Product Owners to facilitate further break down
  • Manage priorities and backlog to ensure timely delivery of Features
  • Act as Product Manager in PI Planning and all other SAFe rituals
  • Monitor and contribute to the prioritization of sustaining activities
  • Coordinate hardware, firmware and software product releases with various groups
  • Ultimately responsible for the quality of assigned products

What we are looking for    

  • Bachelor's degree (Master is beneficial but not required)
  • Proven knowledge and experience in agile methodologies (Hands-on experience and a certificate in any of: Scrum and SAFe®, Kanban, Lean etc.)
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role
  • SAFe® Product Manager (SAFe® PMPO) certificate is an advantage
  • Work experience as a Product Manager or similar role in product management
  • Significant experience in hardware and firmware / software development
  • Experience with Product Management in agile development scenarios
  • Good understanding of the SAFe methodology
  • Experience in JIRA or similar tool
  • Experience in Miro is beneficial, but not required
  • Analytical thinking and strategic mindset with strong technical knowledge
  • Pro-active, hands-on and self-motivated
  • Able to work autonomously but also operate in a strong, cohesive team
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills
  • Demonstrate strategic business judgement in technical matters
  • Knowledge of the Physical Access Control industry is meriting, but not essential
